FOURTH DAY OF THE MEETING OF THE PARTNER SCHOOL TEACHERS AT KOLYMVARI IN GREECE - 10 SEPTEMBER 2018

That day our goal was to go to Elafonisi - one of the more famous beaches of the world (which is connected with our next topic health - water). So, the Erasmus+ "Health Mission Possible" team started a day trip to the seductive Elafonissi. With a rental mini bus we headed towards Kisamos and from there we followed the route Topolia, Elos, Elafonissi.

During our trip we had the opportunity to admire the wild and overgrown gorge of Topolia, then the Chrysoskalitissa monastery and finally to reach our destination. There we enjoyed swimming on the lovely beaches with the fine sand that became in many places pink because of the crushed shells.

As we learned in the guided tour of the bus driver and the "guide" English teacher of our school, the myth says it is the blood of slaughtered Greeks from the Ottomans who mixed with the sand and remains to this day as a witness horrible slaughter ... The day went well with a swim in the sea, touring the island and relaxing on the sun beds at the beach. Late in the afternoon we took the way back.
